Hunters Run is an upscale subdivision in the West Waco neighborhood, but it’s technically in Woodway, Texas. Woodway is a city that borders Waco and many consider to be part of Waco. This is a southern favorite, and always keeps customers running back for more. McAlister’s Deli can be compared to Panera Bread when it comes to what kind of restaurant, atmosphere, and food are provided. They serve soups, salad, sandwiches, pasta, desserts, and more. Summer Palace serves all of your Chinese food favorites from Egg Drop Soup to Kung Pao Chicken. If you don’t feel like going out, just order some Domino’s from right down the street. If you enjoy fine dining or want to know where to go on special occasions, 135 Prime is an exquisite choice. This restaurant’s steak has been voted “Best of Waco” for eight consecutive years, including 2015. They serve delicious steaks, escargots, calamari, salmon, crab, crème brulee, and just about everything else they serve. The menu does not disappoint.
The convenience doesn’t end there. Hunters Run is also right next to US Route 84, which can take you straight to Richland Mall. Richland Mall is Waco’s shopping mall. If you enjoy the outdoors, Poage Park is five minutes away as well. This park features a playground, BBQ grills, a gazebo, sand volleyball, and more. It’s a great way to get out and connect with nature. Another way to connect with nature is at the Cameron Park Zoo just 20 minutes away. The excitement doesn’t end there, either. Hawaiian Falls is Waco’s water park where kids love to come and cool off in the summer. There are tons of slides, a wave pool, a lazy river, and delicious snacks.
